Greetings! I really don't know why I bother writing these journals, as no one reads them, but it is a useful tool for procrastination and boredom killing. As right now I should be cleaning the house...but I'm here on the internet. I should also be doing my advanced placement summer assignments or be memorizing the next 3 pages of my marching band music, but I am wasting time...

Of note: I am hosting a French Exchange student this month. I'm excited and anxious at the same time, but it will be a good cultural experience for me.

My previous journal told of my absence. I've had some very interesting experiences in that time...a family gathering due to the death of a relative resulted in some...oddness. You learn how dysfunctional your extended family really is when you put them all together with copious amounts of alcohol in a small house on 1000 acres of empty farmland and swamps...

All that aside, I did some drawing while away, but nothing post-worthy. I entertained myself at the long stays in the hospital lounge by sketching people staring at the T.V...my people drawing skills are getting slightly better. Though still scary.

Does everybody drop off the face of the planet in the summer?

...anyways, I should get back to work now.
